Sarah & Kyle's Wedding at Colchester Town Hall

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah & Kyle's Wedding at Colchester Town Hall, where they held their ceremony and Reception.


Sarah & Kyle were such fun loving couple and great to photograph, along with all their family and friends who were very warm in allowing me to capture them in the moment too.

DONEGAN FAMILY LIFESTYLE SHOOT

Well, after several failed attempts at getting to do this shoot due to bad weather, we finally managed it today - and it was lovely! Little Erin was a true superstar (and Mum and Dad did pretty well too!) With the weather staying dry, we were able to take the shoot over to the park, where Erin got to wear her wellies and play on the slide. We now have the hard task of narrowing down the best to edit - not so easy when all of them are so beautiful! Here a just a couple to begin with....

HEADWAY COASTAL DOGATHON

Well, the rain stayed away thank goodness for the Headway dogathon held at Clacton-on-Sea yesterday. It was rather blustery, but I think that just moved people along faster! A lovely cross section of dogs attended, and they all looked as though they were enjoying the competitions!

Snoopies were in attendance also, giving pet feeding advice and handing out samples of the 'fish for dogs' food range that they sell in their grooming salon http://www.snoopies.ws/


The pictures will be ready to view soon via the client section of the website: http://www.garywilsonphotographic.co.uk/ - my favourite? it has to be the cute shot of Lilly and Mini, the chihuahuas (but I am biased, because Lilly is our pet and Mini belongs to Geoff and Kelly from Snoopies) Other great posers were the black and tan German Shepherd and the lovely white Husky.

Keep checking out the site in October to see the 2011 Mans Best Friend calendar, which is going to raise money for Headway and is being supported by ourselves and Snoopies. The calendar is going to feature the beautiful dogs that we have been lucky enough to work with over 2010, and a big thanks to all of the owners for agreeing to let us use the images of their treasured companions! We hope as many of you as possible will be able to buy a copy - and maybe even sell a few to friends and family :)

Gemma & Allan's Wedding at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club

Earlier this month Sarah and I photographed the wedding of Gemma and Allan Bullock at the wonderful Stoke by Nayland Golf Club.

We started with Gemma who had stayed at the venue the night before with her bridesmaids, to do the bridal prep shots, where we got some great images, and helped Gemma relax before the big moment!

We then left Gemma and the girls to catch up with the groom, Allan who had arrived in good time to meet the guests and for us to capture a few images of Allan with his best man and ushers.

After the formal photography, Gemma & Allan had arranged to take a trip out in a golf buggy up to the 10th hole to have some personal bride and groom photos which was a great opportunity for them to chill out and have some personal bride & groom portraiture which they both found really fun, and we were able to capture some really beautiful images of them both.

Back to the reception and the best man did not disappoint and the room was filled with lots of laughter, and there were a few tears too!

All in all it was a great day, which we were privilege to be a part of.

April's Pet Portrait prize draw

I have finally been able to anounce April's Snoopies pet portrait prize draw winner. And the winner was 'Jessie' a really loving Springer Spaniel from Colchester, and we would like to thank her owners Helen, Russell, and their daughter Elizabeth for such a great time capturing Jessie her favourite place, down in the woods!

Golden Cocker Spaniel "Buddy" Wins Gold Award - SWPP "Pets"

Today I received a Gold Award by the SWPP in recognition of one of my favourite pet portrait images of the year so far, which is of Buddy a 2 yr old Golden Cocker Spaniel. It was a great shoot and Buddy was a natural born star, and would like to thanks his family for a great photo session!

as I promised on my last post I have seen our March prize draw winner to show them their images, which they were thrilled with, and Buddy was pleased too with a wag of approval.
